We are licensed to build low rise housing in Queensland under the QBSA guidelines. This means the QBSA has validated our technical capacity to build Houses, Decks and Patios as one integral structure. Note: others might suggest that decks and patios are two separate projects. This would occur if they do not hold a license to build decks or build them as one structure. In fact the patio and deck does need to be integrally designed and built as one structure to ensure a streamlined result. That's what we do.

The Company formed out of an alliance between the two directors: Charles Webber licensed builder (low rise house building) since 1983, whose long professional association with Stratco is well known throughout Brisbane; and Jan Day, Director of AZ-Tech Recruitment & Contracting Pty Ltd whose professional services business has been a highly successful organisation servicing Queensland Construction, Manufacturing and Engineering sectors since 1997. The professional alliance between Charles Webber and Jan Day has existed since the mid 1990's and has strengthened so as to result in the merger our activities to the company AZ-Tech Lifestyle Concepts Pty Ltd that exists today.

The Directors have over 40 years experience between them as operators of their own successful businesses. Their professional grounding in Quality Management Systems, Marketing, Customer Service and Strategic Management is strategically placed to set AZ-Tech ahead of its competitors by virtue of this proven reputation.

Charles Webber's impressive profile as a prominent General and House residential builder (since 1983) on the Gold Coast and past Chairman and Councillor of the Gold Coast branch of the HIA is strengthened by some 9 years of recent experience promoting Stratco Outback products.

Charles has a Certificate IV in Building. This enables him to hold house and general building qualifications of a higher level than those qualified to build sheds or fix metal etc.

Charles' special technical expertise sets the highest standards for the team in Design, Specifications, through the entire installation process to project handover using his unique ability to deliver innovation and craftsmanship of built technology.

Companies that obtain roofing from one source who then alter that or add to original paint finish (which voids original manufacturer warranties), add beams from another manufacturer; posts from yet another etc. By devising their own attachment methods and flashing systems claiming them to be an improvement (which are really trying to work around Stratco's patented and proven system), are creating engineering problems that may be seen within a short time of installation.

As hybrid additions require the certification of various engineers, and since each element may compromise the performance of an adjoining component, the question should be asked "who is responsible in the case of failure" as blame can be shifted between unrelated parties. This causes a significant issue for a purchaser who seeks a remedy when their finished project fails to stand the test of time.

Charles Webber, Director

Charles is the nominee builder for the company, our Senior Designer and Project Manager.

• From a Building Apprenticeship (carpentry) in the 1960's to a Building Certificate & later a Certificate IV in Building.
• He was first licensed as a General and House builder in 1983 and operated a successful business producing up to 65 homes a year on the Gold Coast.
• He served as Chairman and Councillor for the Housing Industry Association during this time.
• Since 2000 Charles has worked with other Stratco dealers with very high success and gained much valuable experience in the home improvement field.
• Charles strong belief that 'the right way is the only way' backs our business philosophy.

Jan Day, Director

Jan is a Director of AZ-Tech Lifestyle Concepts and founder of the company in 1997 (which traded as AZ-Tech Recruitment and Contracting as a respected provider of engineering and technical resources to the construction and manufacturing and major infrastructure projects) Jan manages the business systems - Quality, Safety and Environmental control, Marketing and Administration of the organisation to maintain the high standards that support everyone impacted by our projects.

Julie Porter, Accountant

Julie is a chartered Accountant and she manages our Bookkeeping requirements - invoicing, payroll and accounts. Julie's association with AZ-Tech is long standing and she is conversant with regulations governing tax obligations and compliances. Julie follows our philosophy of on time payments and cross checking of all the financial processes to ensure that we meet our commitments to you.

Troy Damon, Site Supervisor

Troy heads our team of on site builders and installers. He is a qualified Carpenter by trade with 15 years experience in the building industry. Troy takes a personal interest in the business and standards of workmanship through a family connection that has been in place for some years. Troy has worked on numerous projects with us for many years. Troy has been associated with his own family business owned by his father. We are proud to have Troy as part of our key team due to his professional workmanship, dedication to the standard of finish on each project and excellent time management.

Our Builders

Our site team are hand picked and trained jointly by Stratco and AZ-Tech to the standards that we demand and expect. They comply with our "Standards of Workmanship" agreement.

Several team members operate on a sub-contract system as they supply their vehicle and equipment. This offers better performance incentives. They are fully trained, equipped and supervised by the Project Manager to ensure the highest standards and quality control that delivers seamless installation of projects. Blue Card holders and subcontractors are licensed contractors with the QBSA.
